Attorney Gallegos is a family law specialist, certified by the California State Bar, and is deeply involved with her community and with charitable organizations. A retired U.S. Army Reserve Officer in military intelligence, she is a current member of the Latina Lawyer Bar Association and Whittier Bar Association; she is also a past president of the Southeast District Bar Association. Lawyer Gallegos is also a current member of the Mexican American Bar Association. In January 2008, the Southeast District Bar Association honored her with the Attorney of the Year Award. She was also recently elected to the Spiritt Family Services Board.
